RED WINCHES - AIR BRAKE UNIT

This innovative Air Brake Unit (ABU) fits right onto the back of the STORM Top Housing.



It stops the winch instantly with none of that overrun on the rope we are told many people don’t like.



It is used with the STORM Top Housing on your 8274 with no need to remove the original brake on the winch.



It can also help reduce the loading on the original brake lever



This is an ideal upgrade if you have already purchased the STORM Top Housing and now want your winch rope to stop instantly when you take your finger off the button.



 

WHAT CAN BE FITTED

Motors: The Air Brake Unit (ABU) can work happily with the BOW1 / BOW2 / BOW3 and WARN XP ACCESSOIRES 4x4 General > Red Winches > Winch Motors

WHERE CAN IT BE FITTED

Currently only on the STORM top housing



Note: You will need to order 2 units to fit onto your STORM Top Housing



Important Note:



If using the Air Brake Unit (ABU) you will need an air solenoid and diode wire assembly to activate it.



This works automatically by releasing the brake when you give your motor solenoids either a winch in or winch out signal.
